Because we will be hiring soon for positions, we at Sheaves wanted to share what working at our startup looks like. The environment at Sheaves is highly intellectual and consists of a team of extremely motivated individuals. We expect team members to already have a large amount of understanding about AI and their roles. For example, software engineers at Sheaves are very familiar with the contents found in Introduction to Algorithms by Cormen et al, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence by Russell and Norvig, etc. We have what one might call a seminar culture and therefore a centralized node of information dissemination as opposed to decentralized and brief updates. Team members are expected to be constantly reading and learning to help brainstorm ways of applying information to current tasks and pending ones.

Even though the pace is naturally fast and intense, we do set aside time to reflect on what we are doing and where we are going. This allows some flexibility to explore new directions, further adding perspective to our efforts.
